This review is from: The Vitamin D Solution: A 3-Step Strategy to Cure Our Most Common Health Problems (Paperback)
I was lucky to have a doctor who tested me for Vitamin D deficiency - and I was (severely deficient I mean) so I bought this book to tell me more and what to do about it.I think the deficiency was the product of my own carefulness about sun tanning, but I was also a victim of statin medication because the deficiency was highlighted after I spent a summer out of doors gardening and building. The book has given me a very good idea of why I feel better after having prescription Vitamin D (random aches and pains have disappeared) and how I should get the sun next year. In case any reader of this review feels I am unfair to statins, 70% of people on statins who complain of muscle pain prove in fact to be Vitamin D deficient. Comments

My father died of a melanoma so I too was reluctant to bare sufficient skin to make the difference.
Its quite likely that many disorders caused by statins are due to Vit D deficiency - loss of sex drive, cataracts, candida infection, prostate enlargement...... The list goes on and on. Good luck !
