Lovely lovely lovely.,
This review is from: HTC One 32GB UK SIM-Free Smartphone - Silver (discontinued by manufacturer) (Electronics)
My last phone was a HTC Desire S, and although I loved it when I first had it, the little bugs and inconsistencies with the software and OS soon started to annoy the hell out of me. What started as 4/5 rated phone went down to a 3/5 phone by the end of my 24month contract and I vowed I wouldn't have another HTC again.
Then I started reading the reviews of the current batch of high spec smartphones currently or soon-to-be available. The same handsets were being mentioned time and time again: Sony Xperia Z, the new Galaxy S4, iPhone 5, and the HTC One (M7). And it was the HTC One that was pipping the others to the top spot. Now I had a dilemma - should I chance getting another HTC phone and possibly live to regret it, or should I try one of the others? I loved the design of the One, and was excited about the specs and what the phone could do, so I held my breath and pre-ordered it. Stock shortages and delays couldn't dampen my excitement, and on the 8th April I became the owner of my new phone, and boy am I glad I took the chance. The HTC One is a stunning piece of kit. Lovely to look at, even better to hold (the smooth, cool feel of the aluminium unibody is especially pleasing), and the sophistication and useability of the OS itself is outstanding. In short, I cannot fault this phone at all. Yes, it's early days, but I have used the phone extensively since I received it, and it's never failed to impress. I'm loving it, and I'm proud to be seen using it.
If in doubt, pop into a phone store and just pick the thing up and have a play. As soon as you do, I have no doubt the quality will speak for itself.
