Long Time Coming,
By A Customer
This review is from: Complete Live At Sine [2CD + DVD] (Audio CD)
There is over two hours of audio material on this edition - and in truth it gets to be quite hard-going. Just Jeff and his guitar and occasional crowd banter.
Acolytes will lap this up. You know the sort - if Jeff said jump in a river..

Mr. Dr. Grocott says:
This is a reasonably intelligent review, bar the following sentence: "the Grace album gained its strength from the fact most of the songs were covers that held up Jeff's own (weaker) compositions". Well three of the songs (out of ten) were covers. Lilac Wine, Corpus Christi Carol, and Hallelujah. I'd hardly describe that as "most", "some" might have been more accurate, or perhaps "three" would have been ideal. As for the opinion that the seven original songs are weaker compositions in need of being held up, well go and listen to the album and decide for yourself...

I was too disappointed by the DVD. There must be more footage of him playing at the venue. I wish you wouldn't refer to a performance as a reading though. It sounds incredibly pretentious.
