I don't really get it,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (Nintendo DS) (Video Game)
I bought this game after reading a lot of good reviews but sadly it didn't live up to my expectations.
The characters talk and talk and talk so you are constantly just tapping to try and get them to hurry their conversation only for them to start anew soon after. The characters are fairly bland and the mood selection thing quickly grows old. The turn taking style of the game is typical for this sort of game, sometimes adds to the game sometimes feels like it takes forever when so many characters have to take their turn. Lots of little puzzles enhanced the game but overall it was just okay, really don't get the hype.

Chris S. says:
The hype is because of how great the two original games were on the Game Boy Advance and how long people had to wait for a 3rd instalment in the series.
You obviously jumped into this game with no prior experience with the series and just skipping through the story seems that you really had no intention of even caring about what the game had to offer. Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is not the best in the series but it sure is a great game. I would suggest playing the two original games (or don't it's up to yourself) because they really are two of the finest games on the Game Boy.
JRPG's are a story driven type of game so that is why there is lots of text to read through, btw.
