SEAN WEBSTER MORE THAN A FINE BLUESMAN !,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: If Only (Audio CD)
My one complaint about the very talented Sean Webster is that he doesn't have much out there to ;isten too, I think this is his only album and it's now a few years old. Saw him at a blues weekend, just getting over a broken wrist, and was about to move and live in europe. With a pick up band he played a simply supoerb set, a very fluent and exiting guitarist with style and originality throughout. He also has a very fine voice, and it's hard to believe we don't hear more from him for whatever reason. To this CD,now sadly a little difficult to find as it was one of those on the now I believe Blues Mattters label thats not there anymore, so if you find one more than likely on Amazon do because this is a fine release. It's varied, full of original songs, but doesn't by any means give us full insight to the potential of Sean. Don't get me wrong it is a very worthy release and contains sone fine tracks, and is indeed very enjoyable, but just touches on the real depth of SW ability, live as I've said he's a real joy, this album although very good indeed should have been just a starter to bigger things, but as said is still very good. So come on Sean get that set out on a new CD and see just how much more you have developed. Very good but the best is yet to come !
