"No Sad Songs for Me" only makes the CD a must,
This review is from: The Very Best of the Four Pennies (Audio CD)
I was so pleased to come across with this edition of The Four Pennies. My copy of "No Sad Songs for Me" was a present from Tom (Springfield), a 45 rpm single from the 60s. The B side, "Cats", was not included on the CD, but "No Sad Songs for Me" alone makes it a must just the same, for a matter of refined musical taste. The CD includes other hits of The Four Pennies, one of the best groups of the Golden Decade. "Juliet", "I Found Out the Hard Way", "Until It's Time for You To Go" are only a few of the songs on a 5 star compilation.
If one enjoys the beauty of the 60s, one will delight in the music of the Four Pennies.
In Time, their rendition of "No Sad Sogs for Me" is so beautiful, even more beautiful than the one by The Springfields' or the great version sung by the German lady Hildegard Knef. I happen to own both and feel so luck to add a good quality copy of my favourite one.
