Another Minimalist Masterpiece,
This review is from: Glass: Symphony No. 2 (Audio CD)
Glass follows up his 'Low' Symphony with an even better symphonic work - lush, plaintive and deeply afffecting, there is no living conductor to touch him and he rates among the all time greats. The interlude from Orphee is brief but beautiful, the Saxophone Concerto slightly less affecting.
All in all a must for Glass fans and devotees of American Minimalism.
