good read, not great though,
This review is from: The Death of WCW (Wrestlecrap) (Paperback)
good book at giving the insights into how wcw was ran, its rise and fall but i found the constant use of stats like rating figures every paragraph a little annoying.

I can see what you mean about the stats getting annoying, but I think the writers wanted to prove they were basing their claims on hard facts, and not just placing blame for the sake of it. I also think as wrestling fans they just hated the fact that nobody in power at the time has taken any responsibility for the loss of such a once huge promotion, and wanted to detail exactly how their decisions affected the company.

Well, the book is essentially about the Monday Night Wars, which is just the popular name for the ratings struggle between WCW and WWF.

I think the constant misfiring attempts at humour were far more annoying.
