I seemed to picked on the more recent books in this series first so this one is back tracking and therefore out of sequence for me. It is a good read but there seems to be a lot of 'how do we get out of this' a la Indiana Jones. A different location ie Britannia and Caracatus as the main foe although enemies are within too. Vespasian features quite a bit in this story who'se adventures I have enjoyed in Robert Fabbri's books. The ending is a bit too contrived for me but ties it up ready for the next episode.
