Nice back-up lights, Shame they failed.,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Cateye El130/Tl130 Set (Sports)
I had this light set for a little over two weeks when the front light failed. I had read previous reviews commenting on water ingress so on arrival I taped the sides which prevented this. When they failed I first changed the batteries of course, no luck. I then investigated further. All of the contacts were without corrosion and power was getting on to the PCB. The switch was also working. Considering the repair time cost to purchase cost I left it at that.
Because I was looking more closely I did notice that there were several places where water could enter and that the circuit board was not hard wired to power but was also fed by concealed spring contacts, in itself something that could cause problems.
All in all, I am impressed by the lights output and looks and in the interest of fairness I have left my original review below. I am however very much not impressed by its internal design and would not recommend this front light to anyone who might be in a position where it could get wet.

I like this light set. The back one is pretty much like most economy rear lights, reasonably bright. This review is aimed more at the front one. Whilst it is not bright enough to properly light a pitch black cycle track by itself it is more than adequate as a light that screams I'm here! Ideal for urban commuting where you don't want a light that's so bright that you'd only end up dazzling other road users, possibly causing an accident yourself.
I have two lights on the front of my bike, a more powerful light for the off road, unlit parts with a battery that'll last about 3 days and now this one which is good for a streetlit road and has a battery that should last about a month. I feel that this light make an ideal part of that combination.
