Easy good coffee!,
This review is from: Philips Senseo Quadrante HD7860/60 Coffee Pod System, Black (Kitchen & Home)
We bought this for a small church office where we have frequent meetings and it is great for the job. We bought a cofffee duck (make sure you get the right one) and that works fine too. We also use a tea pod holder with ordinary, decent quality round tea bags and it makes a reasonable cup of tea, without having to use expensive tea pods.
It only takes a minute to warm up, then stays hot for a while. Once warmed, you can make drinks very quickly. It has a large enough water tank to make enough drinks for about 5 people. There is very little mess and I love the fact that the senseo pods are biodegradable - just like fat teabags. (This is a big contrast to some other machines that spit out lots of plastic pods.)
My only criticism would be that the single serving is quite small. You can of course use the "double cup" setting (and just one pod is strong enough for me) but then you need quite a large mug. I feel that the single cup setting is not quite enough for a middle-sized mug and the double setting overflows a middle-sized mug. Otherwise it's great.

Helen, you said get the right Coffee duck. As someone who has just ordered this machine I would be interested if could explain more or even post a link.

The small one cup setting is designed for a strong drink more like a double Espresso size, the two cup setting is ideal for a mug, you still only need to use one pod for a mug.
Not sure what sized mug you are using but I never have a problem with mine. I use a standard Denby mug and with no milk I get a 3/4 cup of coffee and even with milk added you get a good gap at the top of the mug with no overflow.
