Attention seeking, profound for those who don't get out much,
This review is from: Babel [DVD] (DVD)
This is the worst film I have ever seen. Allegedly the 'story' has a profound message. For me at least, you will get the same effect from standing on four street corners. Disjointed, sloooooooow, culturally naive, irritating 'realistic' hand held cameras and full of pointless connections which shout 'look - it's reality, aren't these people hard done by, isn't it real'.
Pointless scenes include a pre-pubescent child masturbating - why ? A live chicken having it's head pulled off, gushing blood, then put down in front of young children to run around headless - I would be apoplectic if I was the parent of thos children. And a teenage Japanese deaf girl flashing her knickerless crutch to teenage boys. All these and more scenes just padding to gain attention and bring the viewer up.
We all know that many Japanese men have a fascination with schoolgirls - see it here.
After 20 minutes I was looking at the clock. After 45 minutes I had had enough. This film is not fit to grace my house and will be going in the dustbin where it belongs. The Japanese geezer that wrote it, along with those who made it should be run past a mental health board.
And it should be an 18 rating, or preferably banned completely.
Suitable only for dweebs or luvvies.

I don`t know how to tell you this, but the "Japanese geezer that wrote it" was born in Mexico. I dunno, maybe I should get out more, luvvie...
