Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Before trying Kaspersky, I was using McAfee on Windows 7. The time I was using it, I found it to be much more reliable than McAfee. It caught many things that bypassed the aforementioned product and gave overall better protection.
Some of the features of this product, besides the obvious firewall and antivirus, it also has email spambloccker as well as password protect, and that it remembers them for you is rather handy too, lol. Although this would not be so great if you were using a public computer. But you don't need me to tell you that logging into a public computer for the important stuff is not a good idea!
The program/software will also assess how you use your PC and see what might need attention. Other features which are useful is parental control, because no matter how much you think you know what your kids are up to online, you cannot be there all the time to supervise it. I found after installing that the product found things that my former software didn't, giving me extra peace of mind.
There are two scan modes, full scan and quick scan, full scan takes up to 2 hrs (more probably depending on how much there is to scan) and quick scan just a few minutes. Probably best to do a full scan at least once a week.
A bonus was how easy it was to install.
