Thank you for your comments.
We apologise if you were not happy with the level of packaging on the order and were not satisfied with the delivery service you received.
We always try to package orders as suitably as we can before dispatch to ensure that damages in transit are avoided. We can only apologise that the product was packaged excessively - we can only assume this is down to the prevention of the straws splitting. Nevertheless, we agree that there are products which are considered fragile and straws perhaps do not fall into this category. We are always looking to improve on the picking and packing procedure and will be passing on this feedback to the warehouse manager for consideration.
Regarding the delivery service, we can confirm that the couriers are authorised to leave parcels in a secure location (such as a shed / outbuilding, with a neighbour or on the porch for example), but it is against their policy to leave it in a location they would deem to be unsafe. The courier does not judge this on what goods are being left, just on the fact they are obligated to ensure that a parcel is receive by the customer, whatever is inside. We also want to apologise that you were not happy with the delivery charge paid. Standard delivery to a UK mainland address is the same price for all orders, no matter the product or the size. This is the carrier cost we are charged and we do heavily discount our delivery charges as much as we can.
We hope this clarifies some points for you, and would like to advise you contact us directly should you have any further enquiries.
Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
