This review is from: Cook Yourself Thin: The Delicious Way to Drop a dress Size (Paperback)
The recipes in this book were the best tasting of any diet book I have ever sampled. relatively simple to prepare, with incredients that were cheap and easy to find, and I thoroughly enjoyed the taste.
Now for the bad news - so far I have not lost much weight. Yes, it's only been 2 weeks and I'm down a couple pounds. But at this rate, despite the promise of the book, I will not drop a dress size.
But -- it's still early. And I don't trust a diet book that claims you drop weight quickly. The secret is to KEEP IT OFF. Hopefully this book will accomplish that after I let it run its course.
Like most diet books, this one tends to be preachy and patronizing. I'm reminded of a very funny parody of diet books, Martha Bolton's "Maybe Life's Just Not That Into You" which made me laugh non-stop for about a month.
If you go by taste of the recipes "Cook Yourself Thin" is one incredible diet. If you go by weight loss, so far, it's rather mediocre.
