This review is from: Crocodile puppet - IdeesJeux (Toy)
I bought this for my grandson, aged approximately twenty one months, as he likes the crocodile character in Lucy Cousins' "Maisey" stories, and because it seemed a productive way to stimulate his language development and early imaginative play - where boys frequently appear to lack!
It also appears to offer opportunities to model different kinds of behaviour: the croc. can be a helpful friend, for example, or someone who says sorry for what they have done, as well as a joker, or someone who is scary (but never in a way that is really frightening or traumatic!)
This simple toy seems to fit the bill well, as it is not inappropriately expensive or over-realistic, seems to fit small hands / arms easily, and has no hard or sharp parts that can harm (when it "bites" for example) or that can be swallowed.
If it doesn't work for your child, it was an experiment that hopefully didn't cost too much!
If it does work, it can lead to further gradual / "stepped" developments in this area!
