An american book,
This review is from: Martha Stewart's New Pies and Tarts: 150 Recipes for Old-Fashioned and Modern Favourites (Paperback)
Got this at christmas. It is a lovely looking book with super pictures of each recipe. Unfortunately it's an american book complete with american weight measurements and a few american ingredients i have never heard of before. such as cornstarch. How do you measure 2/3 a cup of margarine and what size cup is standard?

Cup sizes are easily bought from any home store like marks & spencers etc; or even online here at amazon. They usually come in a set of four (1 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup and 1/4 cup). Cornstarch is just the american word for Cornflour.
