I'm sorry but that was rubbish. Just finished watching it about 10 minutes ago and I must say that I did not find it chilling in the least. I bought this film having read all the positive reviews on Amazon and I therefore expected a really good horror film, as I love the more creepy, suspenseful and dread-ridden movies... What I got was anything but that. The scariest part in the film - no, let me rephrase that - the only scary part in the film, for me, was the caligraphy class scene where I was shocked for a moment and the breath went out from my lungs. But apart from that I'm afraid that The Eye was just a poor effort in terms of terror; oherwise it's not a bad film. A good story, a believable main character, nice effects/camerawork/direction etc.
I expect that those who are not proper horror movie fans or have never seen an Asian horror film will probably find this utterly terrifying. Personally, I found the remake of The Grudge A LOT scarier than this, and I own pretty much all the best classic horrors under the sun, being a collector, and don't frighten easily. "The scariest film since The Excorcist"? I think not. But yeah, I'd say it is worth seeing; just be prepared to be a little bit bored...

If you read the actual description of the film, you'd have seen that this isn't a horror film. It's a suspense film and it doesn't pretend to be anything else.

Well, I guess I didn't do that. This film was recommended to me by Amazon alongside all the other Asian horror flicks so forgive me if I went in thinking it was a horror film. But thanks for your comments.
