This review is from: Catching Fire (Kindle Edition)
The second book in the Hunger Games trilogy and equally as compelling and well written as the first book. I'm completely captivated by this series (I'm in my thirties and nowhere near the 'young adult' this series is intended for) and have already picked up the third and final book so I can find out what happens.
Catching Fire is a more twisty tale than the first and it's darker and more frightening. More is revealed about the dystopian world of the Panem districts and the 75 year "Quarter Quell" (a celebration which happens every 25 years of the games) is unexpected and complex. The characters are varied and interesting with action scenes well described and very engaging.
The book ends on a cliff hanger and you'll want to carry on reading the final book straight away!
