If I could give it 3 1/2 stars then that is what I would have done. The main criticism is that it doesn't heat the water to boiling. I only drink coffee and this doesn't bother me - in fact it's quite good because I don't have to wait for the cup to cool down. However my wife drinks tea and says that she isn't getting the same fullness of flavour from the tea bags as the water isn't boiling. A second criticism is that I would have liked the cup level slide gauge to be more precise. As it is, you slide a lever in order to preset the amount of water that is dispensed. If the lever had positive clicks relating to a numbered scale then I would know where to put it for our various different cup sizes. As it is, it isn't quite so precise. Other than these points it is extremely useful and whilst I considered sending it back because of the water temperature, I decided to keep it and am pleased that I did.
