All as promised,
This review is from: Nikon COOLPIX AW100 Waterproof Compact Digital Camera - Black (16MP, 5x Optical Zoom) 3 inch LCD (Electronics)Bought this camera (and a spare battery) for a long trip down the Colorado on a raft - I took hundreds of pictures and a few videos in some very challenging environments - wet, heat, humidity and fine sand - and had no problems at all. The screen however does have some surface scratches which is annoying. The resulting picture and video quality is good - even for wide landscapes and poor light - and battery life was good. I did however find the menu options confusing to a meer mortal who does not understand the 'photographic language' that is on offer and battery life was consumed if you reviewed pictures/video on a regular basis - tip, don't reveiw pictures/video if you are on a long trip! I did not really understand the GPS function which to me is a 'nice to have' rather then a must and I had trouble trying to find how to change the data and time to local time having originally set it all up in the UK. Overall I am very pleased with this camera.

Mr Sensible says:
For this price I'd expect a proper viewfinder - camera manufacturers still haven't worked out how useless using just a screen is have they? You can't support the camera properly at arms length and displays are too slow for fast moving objects and are hopeless in bright light. Spectacle wearers be warned - you'll have to put on / take off your glasses to take a picture, by then, the 'moment' will have passed!!!

couple of tips - GPS drains the battery big style, so best leave it off. Always good to buy a screen saver to avoid screen getting scratches - only cost a couple of pounds but keep screen it top nick
