This review is from: The Republic of Thieves (Gentleman Bastards Book 3) (Kindle Edition)
I like the Gentleman Bastard books. If you do too, read this book as it explains the Locke-Sebatha relationship and promises some good stuff to come.
I gave it 2 stars for:
Lacking the pithy, funny wit of the last books
Predictability of some of the plot (something I would never say about the last two books)
Boring and incomprehensible conversations in which someone gets their feelings hurt
Worst of all, I found the love story to be unbelievable. I was just not convinced at all. Also I don't understand why the thing that happens at the end between the lovers is a big deal. Everyone in this book is far too emotional and sensitive
Next time, more killing, more capers, more laughs and more dual wield axes please.
