I enjoyed this book but not as much as 'Gone Girl' and 'Dark Places'. The storyteller is a news reporter, who has had a troubled upbringing and has escaped the town where she was brought up. To deal with her demons she abuses alcohol and self harms. She returns to her home town to report on the murders of two young girls. The other members of the family have their own troubled traits, particularly the younger sister.
The book is a 'who dunnit' and the reader is kept guessing as the evidence skips against one family member to another.
Certainly a page turner but not hugely gripping.
