I bought this for my 11 year old daughter. It was tricky to set up and even more difficult to use. If your eye changes focus you change your line of drawing and the whole thing doesn't work. It is also a strain on the eyes trying to focus on two images at the same time. My daughter used it once then gave up on it. I used it once then gave up on it. My younger daughter age 8 tried to use it but could not keep her eye focused on the image. We put our Supergrafix in the bin. It certainly wasn't super and was a waste of money.

Is there any particular reason people should not buy this Mimi?, I felt this was one of the better inventions from many many years ago, called the camera obscura, once it's set up it's a very handy piece of kit for budding artists that can paint and colour-in but don't draw too well, one bit of advise when using it is always make sure you have plenty of light. I think it's a fantastic artists tool and would say stick at it and give yourself time to get used to using it, for some it will be worth it's wieght in gold.
