Not for people scared of the G..O..D word,
This review is from: The Game of Life and How to Play It (Paperback)
With the recent popularity of The Secret DVD, The Power of Now book and such like self-help titles, this book (dating back to the mid 1920s) shows that people have been asking the same questions for quite some time. The author attempts to give her 'take' on how to get what you want out of your life. Very much centred around God, which is unsurprising given the era in which this book was written but persevere if you can, and how to become more prosperous by adopting the right mental attitude. You can see how this lady's book has influenced a lot of the modern authors. If you find affirmations appealing, there are a number of them throughout the book and a handy reference at the end. Very thin paperback, easily a day's read. Quite simplistic in style, almost charming.
