Hi, I have been wanting to do a few recipies from this book and made my Christmas cake from it which is lovley. I was wanting to do that bread with the bourbon spare ribs but can't find yellow cornmeal anywhere. I've looked at Indian flour or polenta etc but why do these books put ingredients that you can't get. This close to xmas and can't get it from asda so can't do the recipie.

Mrs. S. Hunt says:
Having watched the Nigella TV programme I specifically asked for Nigella Christmas for a Christmas present but Santa sometimes has cloth ears and I ended up with a paperback Catherine Cookson type Liverpool orphan etc etc - can't even remember the name of the book or the proper author - another item for a Charity Shop donation!!! So I'll go and buy myself a copy of Nigella if the shops manage to re-stock.

re cornmeal -- you can use polenta - it's the same stuff -- or you can use white cornmeal if you find that easier to get hold of. There's an Indian brand called Natco.
