the best album i own, and i cant stop playing it!,
This review is from: Let Go (Audio CD)
...i bought the album in mid-august when avril wasnt that well known over here and i played it every day for a month and i'm not kidding, its that good.
avril has amazingly strong vocals and a clear, distinct voice. her lyrics (co-written the whole album) are often quirky, realistic, emotional and heartfelt. my praise goes out to the matrix for their production on the album, and the rest of the production is also great, making the album diverse.
every song is great and pretty different to the next. there are uptempo tracks (complicated, sk8er boi), acoustic ballads (tomorrow) and a couple of heavier tracks. the heavier ones, losing grip and unwanted might not appeal straight away, as i thought, but now i love them. the only track i dont particularly love after all this time is mobile, but i dont skip it and can stand to listen to it. i was going to review each song, but everybodys done that.
all i'll finish with, is that this album shouldnt ever leave your cd player, ever! if youre wondering whether to buy it on the strength of complicated, do it, cheesily enough you wont regret it.
play it loud and dont care what anyone else thinks and sing to the top of your voice, cos thats the best way to listen to avril lavigne - she rocks! x
