A worm a day,
This review is from: How To Eat Fried Worms (Paperback)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Despite the new modern cover, this is a reprint of a book written in the 70's, which has obviously been reprinted for today's current market of Mr. Stink, Captain Underpants, Horrid Henry and other similar books of this genre. It was also made into a kids movie in 2007!
This is the story of Billy a young boy who is challenged via way of a bet to eat 15 worms in 15 days and the story follows his journey over those 15 days to find new and interesting ways to eat his worms.
I think the book would generally be more appealing to young boys than girls, as I think young girls would just find the entire concept of the story quite gross, where as boys tend to just have a laugh about silly stuff like that. That said I think there is also a limited age appeal to this story and my 11 year old wasn't really interested in it, so I wouldn't recommend it for anyone over the age of 10 and probably between 7-10 is most suitable.
