This review is from: Snowbound (Paperback)
Snowbound is clearly a heartfelt story for Larissa Ione. Despite it being from Samhain, the romance element is very much to the fore, and is quite a slow burn.
Sean is a former Olympic skiier, a ski-patroller and EMT. His Olympic career finished abruptly and prematurely by a terrifying diagnosis which has left him emotionally and physically scarred.
Robyn is a take-no-prisoners radio station manager who carries her own scars, both from her childhood and more recently from the relationship she has just ended.
The attraction is mutual, but Robyn puts up barriers, determined not to put her heart in jeopardy. Sean has the complication that he's trying to re-build his career, and move into sports media - precisely the kind of thing to have Robyn running for the hills.
This lovely story has both Robyn and Sean overcoming their fears and their pasts to forge a new future together. It would take a hard heart not to be moved by their journey to the HEA they deserve.
