Delightful, Moving, Funny, Exciting and Inspiring,
This review is from: Walt Disney / Pixar - Up [DVD] (DVD)
I won't tell you the plot of this film and ruin it for you - CAREFUL - there are lots on here that do just that.
But I would like to share with you the fantastic experience my family had watching this at the cinema.
I (a slightly cynical 47 year old man) cried in the first ten minutes, was amazed and delighted in the next ten, almost split my sides at the affectionate, very real (but simultaneously very surreal!) depiction of dogs, lost myself in the adventure and tension and completely forgot time.
At times, my kids (6 and 8) almost lost bladder control with laughter and sat at the edge of their seats from start to finish.
As I said, Delightful, Moving, Funny, Exciting and Inspiring.
One of Pixar's best; does praise come higher than that?

My 21yo son came with us when we went to see in this in the cinema. He says he can hardly wait until it comes out on dvd so he can see it again. This is from a 'normal' 21yo lad. The adults in the cinema were laughing harder than the children (if that's at all possible). This film is moving and funny at the same time - something very hard to find a balance between in a cartoon.
Lovely review. Excellent film. I'll definitely be getting it on dvd when it comes out.

Can I just say for the record and for anyone who feels insanely annoyed that there are multiple copies of this review here, they were posted SEPARATELY on different versions of this DVD and I didn't put them all together

I was a bit wary when a friend lent me this DVD as I don't normally 'do' cartoons. But... I sat down and watched it once ... then twice ... then a third time and almost wet myself laughing. What a brilliant film. Far too good for the kids!
