Solo and unplugged gives a sound thats not outdated today,
This review is from: Live At Massey Hall 1971 (Audio CD)
The problem with a lot of old albums is, that you have to have heard the music when it was new in order to apriciate it, but not this one. This album is live and unplugged and only with Niel Young playing on either guitar or piano. Unplugged albums doesn't have a "sound" wich means they don't sound outdated in the same way as albums with electric instruments can do.
Niel Young plays a lot of "new" song wich later have become clasics and he tells some interessting background stories about some of them. If Niel Young would have played the same set today the responce from the audience would have been very different. The audience on this recording is a listning audience wich means that there is not to much noice from the audience. I personaly prefer that.
This is a must have for Niel young fans and a firm recomendation for everyone that likes unplugged music.
