This review is from: Meet Me Under the Mistletoe (Paperback)
First of all, the cover of the book is just F - A - N - T - A - s - T - I - C. I am such a sucker when it comes to such covers, so sweet and festive, and so, so nice.
Then, the book itself have me hooked from the very first page to the very last one. It was a fabulous read. I don't know why, because maybe the plot was not the most ambitious, but it was written in such a pleasant, warm and emotional way. Very likeable characters, very nice people, very likeable problems. I loved Rachel and Laurie, I loved Rachel's family - but, sad to say, not Aiden. He played on my nerves so, so much, I just hated the way he treated Rachel, and even if I understand he did this all for the family, I couldn't stand his humours and his "But don't you understand". Of course she understood, but she is a woman as well and she can hope, can't she? And he wouldn't win me over with his christmas present, oh no.
And I must say that the book was not so predictable for me, I have thought it will end different for Laurie, for Milly, for Aiden, but this time - no. and it's good so:)
So, all in all, very nice read, very clear, very logical, and very, very warm and full of feelings. What else can one need for a long, winter evening? Made me want Christmas to come immediately:)
