What an odd film! I'm fairly easy to please and enjoy many films that people dismiss as 'worst film evveeerrr!!', but i just found this film...very, very average. NOT terrible or the worst film ever but equally not excellent either.
I think the makers of the film just couldn't seem to decide on the tone of the film. Its all very colourful and clean and very Hollywood, almost like a film for older kids and then SPLAT!!! Someones head explodes! In fact head explosions seem to be a recurring theme. I have NO problem at all with that but it just made me feel that the general fight scenes which occour throughout the film could have been so much better and less lightweight. If we can have exploding heads, why not make the fights a bit more brutal?
The main scene near the end of the film has some good moments with some amusing blood n guts but the majority of the film feels, as i said earlier, lightweight.
I watched it in 3d which was decent to good in places and the acting was ok. Just ok. It was acted as if it was set in the present and in America which added to the overall clean, colourful, Hollywood feel of the film.
I'm sure i'll watch it again at some point and theres nothing really to put you off buying it if you're thinking about it. It's just that theres nothing exceptional to recommend about it either.
Hope you enjoy it.
