Its not great, its boring through out, theres nothing that you really reflect on.
The change in the character's perspective on their situation just seems to happen almost overnight.
The whole thing was just...
It wasn't an exciting, romantic or particularly deep movie.
I understood it and I've read up about it I just didn't think it was very good.
Put it this way.
You're certainly not going to come away from this thinking wow that was money well spent.
Luckily it was cheap as chips otherwise avoid.
Also don't let the cover fool you, theres nothing particularly raunchy or violant in the movie. Well yes there are moments where people get stabbed and hit with bricks but you aren't left thinking ouch or particularly shocked or in awe.
Try Old Boy for deep, violant and creepy, Zatoichi for fun and action with quality fight scenes or Ichi if you just want some good old fashioned unadulterated violance and gore.

Mr. M. R. Rowley says:
This film is pointless with a real bad ending. It does not make any sense why the girl would stay with some one that had forced her into prostitution. You never find out what happens to her boyfriend and the bad guy although phycotic even when he ends up with her at the end decide to be a one man brothal. WHY??

Chancery Stone says:
I think it's both lovely and charming that you consider a film which is wall to wall female humilation, degradation and rape is not "particularly violant".
