This review is from: John Adams The Cube Game (Toy)
This game is awful for so many reasons, many of which have been covered by other reviewers.
I've given it one star because it's the least fun I've ever had playing a game. The initial promise of a good time will be replaced by a sense of irritation, after you spend most of your time assembling the assorted challenges, some of which are nigh on impossible. I'm not exaggerating, unless you can balance a light 12" plastic tube on the end of your index finger for 30 seconds (one of us managed 8.5).
The electronic bit doesn't do what it's told to do. Read the instructions if you wish, but you'll be wasting even more time. Somewhere in there, there's a timer for some of the 'physical' challenges. We never found it.
The computer is wrong. After losing umpteen lives, we took a picture of the cheap 'n' nasty electronic display which showed a scattering of dots for the player to count. The computer said 19. There were 20. Ok, so what else is wrong with this thing, we thought. In addition, the various computer based challenges never varied. We didn't expect every single mental challenge to be hard-coded; i.e. you play it once, you'll get the answer right forever (assuming you remember that the thing can't count).
Please don't waste your money on this piece of rubbish. Only the price suggests that this game isn't cheap. It really does beggar belief. I sent mine back. If you like The Cube, phone ITV for a proper go.
