Another great show!,
This review is from: The Darling Buds Of May - Complete Series (Special Edition) [DVD] (DVD)
I agree with the other reviews.. also wanted to say that all the episodes are there. I almost did not buy this when I read on a review that episodes were missing. They aren't missing. I checked the episode guide on numerous sites and it is complete.. Enjoy!

Since there appears to be more than one set available, how do we know which set contains all of the episodes as well as the specials ? I love David Jason in anything he has ever done and will ever do . He has made many different series and all are great . He can play comedy and drama equally as well and is a prolific actor . I first saw him in " Open All Hours" and loved him . "Only Fools And Horses" proved he was great as a lead actor , and his guest parts in such shows as "Porridge" and other shows proved he can play an old man and be believeable too . He is hardly recognizable because he plays such an older man than he really is . " A Touch Of Frost" is one of the best dramas to ever be on TV . He has others I haven't mentioned here, but if you ever see David in any of these you will become an instant fan, if you aren't already . Thank You Sir David for all the many hours of entertainment you have given us, and the DVDs which will continue to entertain us over and over again . As I have said before in reviews or comments, NO ONE DOES TV AS WELL AS THE BRITISH DO TV . As an American we have tried to make many American versions of British hits, and have failed miserably in all attempts . I would say you just cannot improve on perfection , and as long as the British versions are around to compare with the American versions , just purchase the REAL thing, even if you must buy a DVD Player which will play all Regions . One which I purchased and can be programmed using the remote control , in about one minute, to play any or all Region Discs is the Philips Model # 5140 . NEVER purchase any player from a Seller who claims to have ALL REGION PLAYERS and for much higher prices . All they have done is exactly what you can do yourself in about one minute . There are many players which can be re-programmed this way and you can see how to do so with the aboved mentioned player on www.Amazon.com . Step by step instructions are available from one of the reviewers . You can also use a search engine such as Google and put in a phrase such as " How to convert a DVD Player to play all Regions " , and find many sites which are devoted to this . You may already own a player which you can change . If not, the Philips Model # 5140 can be purchased for about 25 pounds plus shipping . I am a Certified Electronic Tech. and can say with knowledge that this player is a good choice , as are many others , I would think . I hope this helps you to not only save money , but enjoy the best TV ever produced .
