A box of triX,
This review is from: Xbox Console (Video Game)
In my opinion the X-Box is fantastic, I used to have a PS2 but since I bought the X-Box I've sold it! Before the X-Box had been released, I must admit I was a little prejudiced against it because of the fact it was made by Microsoft. I thought that it might have quite a few bugs because of the fact they had tried to make it TOO good. In the past 6 months, not a single games has crashed, the unit has never had any problems and it seems to get better and better.
Many people rant on about the spec's of the unit being so out of this world - you should see the graphics! You've probably also heard alot of people shouting about Halo. This is the game that eased me into the world of x-box and also what made me dump the PS2. I think a big reason why the X-Box has been so successful is because it also has great games. Without games such as halo, where you and a friend can work through the actual storyline of the game together - NOT in a deathmatch (although it is optional :D) - or games such as sega gt 2002, where turbo's blow up if you push the car's too far (and many other features) - the xbox would have been a flop.
I have noticed that alot of people moan about the size and weight all the time, and I admit it is a little chunkier than the PS2 or gamecube but it's not like you're gonna be carrying it round with you all day. It's designed to sit and provide high quality visual and audio entertainment! (AND IT DOES :D:D)
I've come to realise that it's the small things you appreciate about the X-Box. Things like the fact that you can copy tunes from your favourite audio cd's and store them on the hard drive. But it doesn't stop there! No! Alot of the games on the xbox utilise this and allow users to play stored music whilst on the game itself.
Add to this, the fact that there are 4 controller ports (and the ability to link upto 4 other xbox's for death matches etc) so you and your mates can have a great laugh whenever your feeling festive.
Just thought I'd stop in to say....
