This book was acquired by me to help me consider more my options for communicating more succinctly. I must admit that at times I found it a little irritating and to some extent almost patronising but really those criticisms arose in my natural reluctance to take on board the very real need for me to change my often waffly (technical word - not!) style of communication in some situations such as talking to my colleagues. In past times I have heard myself saying too much having already said enough to get people to take action and having also given them enough inforamtaion about what I wanted to happen. The results were often nothing like that which I had in mind and I knew that once again I had rambled on past the useful part of the message and equally likely hidden my message in a litany of apolagetic terminology that simply left people confused. Using this book gives enough examples to get the serial waffler cringing and then sufficiently concrete advice with good examples to get them changing. I am, at least in my spoken communication, a changed person.
