No loss of power,
This review is from: Rowenta DG8960 Silence Steam Generator, 6 Bar (Kitchen & Home)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is the second steam-generator iron I've owned. The main difference is the quietness of the steam generator when producing the steam. A more conventional model will vibrate and generate a fair bit of noise, but this is reduced drastically with this Rowenta model. There is still noise when expelling the steam, naturally, but as a unit it is far quieter than other models. There is no lack of power with the 6-bar steam expelled through 400 holes across the full iron plate.
The unit itself has a standard 1.5 litre water-tank that can be easily detached and re-filled even when in operation. A good addition is the safety lock which holds the iron in place when moving around. A minor niggle, which seems quite common for irons, is the length of cable to the plug - you'll need to be pretty close to a socket to not over-extend the cable. Clear and concise instructions together with German engineering make this a recommended purchase.
