Very very average,
This review is from: Doctor Who: The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe, 2011 Christmas Special [DVD] (DVD)
This was another predictable storyline from Dr Who, with the solution being love conquering all.... again. I was disappointed that there was so little plot in this hour long programme, and by the end of it on Christmas Day, virtually everyone in our house had lost interest and was doing something else. I would suggest that anyone thinking of buying this holds off until the next season box set comes out, as it will undoubtedly also be included in that, and it really isn't worth hurrying to buy. I hope Moffat was holding onto his best best ideas for season 7, as I'm not so much fed up with Dr Who (as so many fans seem to be becoming) as simply becoming a bit bored of it.

Did you actually buy the DVD or are you just a troll?

As it was on television, is it necessary to have bought the DVD?

N. Lemans says:
No, I haven't bought the DVD, as I watched it on TV on Christmas day, and then again a few days later on Iplayer to see if I'd missed something, as I was disappointed in it. As a fan, I also saw the prequel online before the show was originally aired, and have also already seen the best of Dr Who features included, which do not add anything new, but are merely clip shows. Finally, I will eventually own this episode in the season 7 box set, which would make this disc superfluous. There is no need to buy this actual disc to review it, I assure you.
