Excellent guide for planning and cycling the Loire a Velo,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: La Loire à vélo de Nervers à la mer : en Anglais (Paperback)
I used a guide in the same series, but in French, for cycling the Atlantic coast last year and found it excellent. This time for planning my next trip I don't have to rely on my poor language skills!
The maps are clear with good information on distances for each short section, so excellent for planning purposes. My only criticism is that I wish they showed the location of campsites on the maps, although this is only an issue if you're camping! The guide is spiral bound with the route divided into suggested stages, each with a couple of full page maps which would easily sit on top of a handlebar bag.
There is a fairly good list of accommodation as an appendix at the back of the guide, although this may be slightly out of date and does not include all options - quick research on the web has shown up a lot more campsites.
Although I'm taking additional maps, I suspect that you could easily cycle the Loire with this as your only guide.
