This review is from: The Cobra (Paperback)
I have read a few reviews of this book by Forsyth fans and highly rated amaxon reviewers and they all disliked the book. I know Forsyth of course but this is the first book of his that I have read and I enjoyed it.
One thing the book does is to spell out the evils of the cocaine trade and the extents to which these producers and suppliers will go for their filthy lucre.
Giving someohe $2 billion and accepting the promise to end the cocaine trade within a year or so is a different matter. I felt the process was more important than character development although a few of the main characters are made very well known to us.
Is it realistic? No! Was it interestibg, even exciting at times? Yes!
Did I enjoy the twists in the end of the tale? Of course.
I think this is a good read for a book of this kind.
