1.0 out of 5 stars Dire, 14 Jan. 2009
This review is from: Exposing the Real Che Guevara: And the Useful Idiots Who Idolize Him (Hardcover)
Dear oh dear oh dear. This rubbish ought to be pulped. It is absolutely dire.

It wouldn't have been so bad if it had been written coherently but it is just another cliche ridden piece of maniacal nonsense from someone on the rabid right. No research, no evidence: just bald assertions with no FACTS. Right wingers should have learned by now that their rants can only be taken seriously if they are based on reality and not feelings, hunches and downright lies. So he doesn't like Che or left wingers generally. Fair enough but he must just learn to live with it. Simply making up garbage and spewing it out in hate filled sentences is not a substitute for proper evidence based research.

Please do not buy this drivel but if you see the author give him a hug. He didn't get any from his mommy...

Zero stars.

I bet you a squillion quid you didn't read the book. You didn't mention a single, solitary fact that the author got wrong. Your review has all the hallmarks of a Marxist hatchet job- very high quotient of invective and ad hominem, non-existent counter-factual argumentation. Could that Milne be Seumas Milne? Its about his level of writing...

If the author got it wrong then it is not a "fact" Andy baby. I have read the book but I'll admit that I got it for 30p from a charity shop; there's no way I'd pay more than that for this sad load of rubbish. The author is quite possibly disturbed. Look at the title! Before the off he's insulting people. Be honest, what kind of a shoddy title is that?
Having read your profile I wasn't surprised by your predictably dull rightwing views. Any British man who lists Rugby Union as one of his interests but not football is immediately suspect.

'maniacal nonsense', 'rabid right', 'rants' 'downright lies'
'Simply making up garbage and spewing it out in hate filled sentences is not a substitute for proper evidence based research.'

And you accuse the right wing of basing views on 'feelings'?

Your emotionally charged 'review' clearly suggests that the author is spot on with his research and thus his book is worth purchasing. Thank you.

Is Wales not part of Britain anymore?

Reverse snobbery is still snobbery.

'Any British man who lists Rugby...'

Oh my, are you serious? Someone is into a sport you don't favour, therefore they are a fascist/wingnut/kitten-killer? The scrupulous intellectual reasoning of the modish-left/progressive mindset!
