1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing, 11 Sep 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Never Go Back (Jack Reacher 18) (Hardcover)
I've read all the Reacher books and loved most of them. But the last few have definitely been going downhill. This one was tedious in the extreme. Clunky dialogue. I was so bored that I struggled to get to the end. Speed-read the last couple of chapters so really no idea what was going on at all.

I think Lee Child has sold out now - letting Tom Cruise be Reacher. And now he really can't be bothered to cobble together a decent yarn.

I shan't be bothering with the next one.

Completely agree. What a shame that the series appears to have fizzled out

Well what is it then?

I too was a devoted reader of Reacher ( Lee Child ) and would anxiously wait for each new release. When Tom Cruise was miscast as Reacher I stopped reading the series. Over the years I had built up an image of Reacher from the author's descriptions and Tom Cruise did not match that image or description. It has ruined the whole series for me. There are so many authors that stay true to their word yet Child sold out. He needs to re-discover what first made Reacher such a likeable character.
