Read it from cover to cover - You'll be glad you did.,
This review is from: The Poetry of Passion (for People with a Pulse) (Paperback)
I love this collection of poems and the fact that the author explains in the introduction that she wrote them between 1980 and 2009 because it's like taking a journey from young teenage innocence to sensual womanhood.
Two of my favorite poems are "Unbelievable" and "Your skin" which I found to be sensual and provocative..
All the poems are written in an easy to read and to relate to style and cover many aspects of love with passion, humor, sadness and joy.
The chapter about Rafael Nadal is wonderful, I absolutely love it and found it brings back memories of past matches, which was like re-playing them in my mind and I love the imaginative "daydream" type of poems that all fans who have a crush on any idol will identify with.
I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this down to earth author, who is in touch with the feelings of real people.

RAFA GAL says:
OMG!!! I have read some of Juliette's poems on RAFAEL's website, which I thought were thought provoking and I wanted to read more poetry about our # 1 Spanish Gladiator Tennis Hottie. She did not disappoint. This book is not full of stuffy poems that you have to try to figure out exactly what the poet is trying to say. If you have a pulse & a brain...you know exactly what she's saying. The are full of passion...brutal honesty...humor...feeling, etc. There is a universal theme that most of the human race will identify with. They made me laugh...smile...stirred up old emotions I've experienced; happy they are behind me & I survived. So true to life...which indeed, can be a rollercoaster ride...such highs and lows & everything in between. Juliette was bold enough to bare her soul and say/write things that I'd like to admit out loud but would not for fear of being judged. Speaking of some of her one-on-one conversations w/Rafael, all I can say is "Juliette...you naughty girl...hee hee". While reading the poems about Rafael I alternated between smiling and laughing so much that after a while...my face started to hurt...but this read is definitely worth all that and more. If you have a friend/loved one who is a RAFA fan, this would make a unique one-of-a-kind gift they will read over & over & treasure forever! I give it 2 thumbs up!!! Bravo Juliette!
