Not in Wool's league,

This review is from: Sand: Part 2 - Out of No Man's Land (Kindle Edition)
This intriguing story set in the future never hints at the reason why sand has overtaken the world. It is just there, like the fringe culture of mankind pushed to the margins of life in an unending battle with the sand. As you go through the series, you start to get hints of the world that was, but never the reason why. Annoying aspects are the lack of reason, of resolution, and that the story is split into lots of mini-books, each shorter than a conventional novel. I ended with more questions than I started with. This series is very readable, but isn't in the same class as Wool and its successors.
