An absolute romp!,

I saw this on TV when it first came out and bought it mainly out of nostalgia for a time when good programmes were shown on TV. This didn't disappoint second time round. Alphick and Richardson were brilliant in this romp. Who ever thought Richardson could play a comic, incompetent German army officer and do it so well? Elements in this series are taken from fact - the kidnapping in Holland of English officers, the fake clothing coupons and the main theme, the counterfeiting of English five-pound notes using Jewish labour in concentration camps - but given such a twist! Thoroughly enjoyable. My wife who would usually not watch series with anything to do with war absolutely loved it. Picture quality was very good. The colour was also good. No negatives from me. I'll watch this again soon.
