This review is from: Neris and India's Idiot-Proof Diet: From Pig to Twig (Paperback)
Just to make a point about this diet apparently being for "middle class mums who have all day to cook", nope, it's not. I'm a single parent, and a carer for my two wonderful disabled children. time and money are both in short supply in my house. However, I don't find this difficult to stick to, or too expensive to follow. There are low cost options, and let's face it, if you're not shoving your face full of cakes and biscuits, you can use the cash you would have spent on the diet friendly stuff.
I love the way the book addresses the "headstuff" before you read about any of the actual eating plan, and it really has helped me address some personal issues and realise a few home truths. I'm on the initial 2 week list of allowed foods long term, having a lot of weight to lose, and I feel really and truly healthy eating this way. My skin is better, I wake up refreshed in a morning and so far, I've lost 24 pounds, dropped a dress size and I can finally see a day where I'm going to be the ideal weight for my height. I've tried weight watchers, I've tried slimming world, I've tried books and self help and hypnosis. None of them are as easy to stick to as this is.
