An entertaining game to play,

This review is from: Dawn of Magic 2 (PC DVD) (DVD-ROM)
Continuation of Dawn of Magic 1 with a later story line.
Same layout as Dawn of Magic 1 so if you've played the original then this is very much the same for playing purposes.
Its entertaining and challenging.
Life potions are limited by how much you can carry according to how you upgrade your statistics. Chi, for magic, is the same. Buying equipment can be a chore in that different characters sell different items in different places.
For some reason, I seem to gather more chi then life potions after defeating creatures, so having to buy life potions and sell chi potions can be a chore.
The creatures that inhabit Dawn of Magic 2 are remarkably challenging in that they usually beat me most of the time. Some quick finger pushing of the different spells is required plus the teleport spell does give some healing providing I'm quick enough to use it and teleport in the right direction!
The best combination I've found so far is, fire ball, ice ball, ball lightning, summoning creatures from the dead and a stone monster to fight on my side, the creatures usually attack them first.
The boss monsters, so far, seem to be easier to beat then the creatures that inhabit Dawn of Magic 2, which comes as a merciful relief.
The graphics while not exceptional are, for me, very good.
Overall if you looking for some entertainment, there is some humour in the game, intentional or not I'm not to sure, and a challenge then this is a game worth trying.
