Excellent Burr grinder for home use,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Dualit Burr Coffee Grinder 75002 (Kitchen & Home)I use this grinder for my Gaggia expresso machine and it is excellent value for money. On the lowest setting it is actually too fine even for expresso producing a powdered taste, so it is perfect when the right setting is found. I was paying £4.79 for a tin of Illy coffee (which is amazing) but now I can grind my own from a bag for £1.39 and can try all types of coffee beans, so this machine will pay for itself in a short time. Commercial machines cost several hundred pounds so this is a real bargain for the home.
Something worth sharing is I was having real problems with my Gaggia extracting sufficient crema, at one point the water was hardly coming out. I contacted Gaggia whom advised me to descale and it has never worked as well. I have soft water and don't see any limescale build-up so be advised, descale every 6 months. For those who don't know the difference, crema is produced when the oil is extracted from the bean (under pressure) producing that tanned brown colour, unlike filtered coffee.
Enjoy your coffee...
